Dhoni visits Nepal On Saturday

Kathmandu, June 12

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and Indian Embassy have confirmed the report of Indian Cricket Team Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Kathmandu visit organizing a press meet on Tuesday in Kathmandu.

The organizers informed that Dhoni will land Nepal on Saturday morning and will leave India on Sunday evening. Dhoni has been invited to Kathmandu jointly by Indian Embassy and CAN. Organiser informed that Captain Dhoni accepted their joint proposal to visit Nepal.

Spokeperson to Indian Embassy Apoorva Shrivastava said that Dhoni will arrive to Kathmandu via Air India on Saturday morning. "In his visit to Kathmandu, Dhoni will take part in the interaction program with U-19 cricket team and senior cricketer of Nepal at TU Cricket Ground on Saturday," Shrivastava added. "He will be engaged in another interaction with CAN officials and media on the evening. Before leaving to India on Sunday, he will pay visit to the Temple Pashupatinath."

CAN President Tanka Aangbuhang said that Dhoni’s visit will help promote Nepali cricket in the international level especially among Test playing nations and Board Cricket Committee of India.

Aangbuhang expected that Dhoni will help CAN to establish a link with Indian Cricket bodies which may help in the development of Nepali cricket.
