APF Club bid Khadka adieu

Kathmandu, May 13

Armed Police Force (APF) bade adieu National Cricket team’s Captain Paras Khadka, who is leaving for Canada on Monday, amidst a function held at its headquarter at Halchowk, Kathmandu on Sunday.

Khadka, who also skippers the APF Cricket team, is going to play in the Canada’s Toronto Cricket League for around four months. He will be playing from Ontario Cricket Academy Club. Khadka informed that he was invited from the club and he is using the opportunity to showcase the Nepali talent in the Canada so other cricket players too can join the Canada league for their betterment. He said that contract has not been signed and he put the opportunity first than the money. "I am very glad to join the Canada’s league. I will give my best to perform their and put the nation’s name with pride."

Khadka thanked APF for pioneering the professionalism in the Nepali cricket by forming the cricket team. "APF provided good environment to the cricketers to play regularly."

AIG Rishav Dev Bhattarai of APF said that Khada is not leaving the Club but going to Canada to gain the experience. His experience in Canada will help Nepal and Club cricket team to gain the confidence.

At the function, Khadka was also announced the brand ambassador of the Indian Company SM, the manufacturer of cricket equipments. The authorized dealer of SM in Nepal R & B Buiseness Private Limited had contracted Khadka for the one years’ tenure as the ambassador. Khada will get the cricket equipments worth Rs. 1,00, 000 from the SM.
